Mindfulness Workshops

This is an opportunity for complete beginners to explore the practice and theory of mindfulness for a day.  An experienced teacher will offer guidance to explore what mindfulness is, how it can be trained, and how it might be helpful.  The daylong will include:
  • What is mindfulness? What is the history?
  • An introduction to the key mindfulness practices of body scan, sitting practice and mindful movement
  • How can mindfulness reduce stress and allow us to live life more fully?
  • Opportunity for questions and exploration related to personal practice in a warm and supportive atmosphere
  • Opportunity to connect with others exploring the benefits of mindfulness

Mindfulness Day Retreats

This is an opportunity for those who have participated in an 8-week mindfulness course (or equivalent) with any teacher, to immerse in silent mindfulness practice for a day.  With guidance from an experienced teacher and the support of a community of mindfulness practitioners we practice simply being alive to the present moment with ease and kindness.  The daylong will include:
  • Guidance with key mindfulness practices: body scan, sitting meditation
  • Gentle mindful movement suitable for every-body
  • Guidance with mindful eating
  • Kindness / Befriending practice
  • Integrating mindfulness in everyday life
